Your flight records

Block Time stores your flight records on your device. These can include pilot details, aircraft information, airports and routes, flight dates and times, engine-meter readings, notes, and photographs you add. Settings and your current flight are stored locally so you can continue after an interruption.

Jarec does not keep a server-side copy of your flight log. Account, licensing, and purchase information is handled separately from your flight records.

When you export, back up, or share records, the information goes to the destination or recipient you choose. Those copies can contain private flight information. Protect them and keep a backup of records you need. Jarec cannot recover records that exist only on a lost, damaged, or reset device.

Location, images, voice, and your watch

Location supports features such as nearby-airport searches and map context. Camera access and images you select support engine-meter capture and reading. Photographs and confirmed readings can be saved with your records.

If you use voice input, your device’s speech-recognition service processes the audio. Whether that processing happens on your device or through an online service depends on the service and its settings.

The Wear OS companion exchanges flight events, timing, and connection information with your paired device.

You control device permissions in system settings. Withdrawing a permission can make the related feature unavailable.

Online services and data sharing

Weather, map, and airport-information features request content from their providers. Requests include your IP address and the information needed to retrieve the content, such as an airport identifier or map area. A provider you configure also receives the credentials needed for its service.

When you use account or licensing services, identifiers, authentication information, access status, and purchase references are processed to provide access, verify purchases, and protect those services. Buying through Google Play involves Google’s purchase processing. This does not itself transfer your flight log to Jarec.

When you contact us, we receive your contact details, message, and attachments you send. We use them to respond and resolve your request. Send only the information needed for that purpose.

Service providers process the information needed to supply the relevant service. Exports and messages you send are also received by your chosen recipients. Disclosure can be required to comply with applicable law or a binding legal request.

Website visits

Visiting blocktime.ch sends network information, including your IP address and the page requested, to the website’s hosting service. Access and security logs support delivery, troubleshooting, and protection of the website.

External links take you to services with their own privacy practices.

How long information is kept

Your local records remain on your device until you remove them through the app or device storage controls. Exported and backup copies must be removed separately. Uninstalling Block Time does not delete copies you stored elsewhere or sent to others.

For information held by Jarec, retention depends on its purpose: providing account and licensing services, resolving support requests, maintaining security, meeting legal recordkeeping duties, or handling a dispute. Information is deleted or anonymized when it is no longer needed for those purposes, unless further retention is legally required.

Security

Protect your device, account credentials, and exported files. Security measures must be appropriate to the information and service involved; no storage or transmission method eliminates every risk.

Your choices and privacy rights

You choose what information to enter, which optional device permissions to grant, and what to export or share.

Depending on applicable law, you can request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal data held by Jarec. You can also request restriction of processing, object to processing, or withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully carried out beforehand.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We explain any information that must be retained and the reason. You can raise a concern with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner or another competent data-protection authority.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our data handling changes and provide notice or obtain consent where required.
